Picasso (1881-1973) is one of the most famous painters in Europe. He is the founder of cubism, an art movement which uses different points of view and geometric shapes.

Today, you will learn how to create an artwork inspired by Picasso. You can draw, paint, or make a collage. The most important thing is your creativity !
Start by drawing body parts on a sheet of paper, under different angles and in a very simplified way.
Add symbolic elements such as a heart, flowers, stars…
Think about a way of merging them together.
Then, on a new sheet of paper, paint, draw or make a collage of them put together.
You can now color them. Use it to highlight different elements.
For example, if you draw a face, use a light color for it and and flashy colors for the rest, to make them stand out.
You can make your collage using coloured paper.
Have fun with the result, but remember that your art still needs to be understandable !
